REVIEW ( NO SPOILERS )

This anime had me excited from the very beginning. The first episode had me craving more. I was desperate to know where it was going. The characters are astoundingly unique in personality. The whole idea of the series feels refreshing to the anime that have been released.

The art is dark and sharp, which fits the feel of the anime perfectly.

It's not all death, blood and guts. They make the effort to have comedic parts where they fit perfectly and give you nice little laughs.
The battles in this are cool, but a lot of it is more tense army battle/strategy than cool, showy fights.

The feel of uprising and war is great, you find yourself anxious, anticipating what the Drifters and other parties will do. What will be the next move? What is the point of all this and why are they here?

The premise of the story is quiet original and well executed, I loved it.
The story revolves around 3 humans who at the time of their death were saved and sent to another world receiving the name of "Drifters". These men will wage war against the dark forces of that world, fighting alongside goblins, elfs, witches and humans in order to save the people of that world.

I was really impressed and I'm glad it lived up to my expectations. The characters are great, you feel the eras they came from in how they act and speak, yet they mesh together nicely and even though they may clash, they respect each other. The hilarity of their minor conflicts is mixed in perfectly and made me love each of them even more.
The action carries all the way through, building up to the ending which leaves you satisfied yet excited for the second season, and it will be incredible.
